Manufactured Wood Trusses for Colorado Builders
Rigid Component Systems manufactures custom-engineered wood roof trusses and floor trusses from our facility in Longmont, Colorado. Every truss we build is pre-engineered to your specific plans, stamped by a licensed engineer, and delivered ready to install — so your crew is framing on day one, not cutting lumber in the field.
We have been supplying Colorado builders with manufactured trusses since 1974. Whether you are framing a production subdivision, a custom mountain home, a multifamily development, or a commercial structure, we engineer and build trusses to meet Colorado’s specific load requirements — snow, wind, and seismic — and deliver on the schedule your project demands.

Why Manufactured Trusses
Stamped engineering on every job
Every truss package from Rigid Component Systems includes stamped engineering drawings from a licensed Colorado engineer. That documentation protects you on the building permit, gives the inspector what they need on the first visit, and protects you from liability if questions come up down the road
Consistent quality, no field interpretation
Site-built framing is only as good as the crew on the day. Manufactured trusses are built in a controlled environment to exact engineering specifications — every member cut to length by saw, every connection plated by press. What the drawings show is what you get in the field.
Less waste on the job site
With site-built framing, offcuts and mis-cuts pile up fast. Manufactured trusses are built to your plans — what gets delivered is what gets installed. Less cleanup, lower dumpster costs, and a cleaner job site for the rest of the trades
Optimized for Colorado loads
We engineer to Colorado’s specific ground snow loads, roof snow loads, wind exposure categories, and seismic requirements — which vary significantly from the Front Range to the mountains to the Eastern Plains. A truss designed for a Denver suburb is not engineered for a Summit County mountain build. We get that right every time.
How the process works
Send us your architectural or structural drawings — PDF, DWG, or paper scan. We review them at no charge before quoting.
Quotes can be provided in as little as 24h for small projects. Larger projects can take 1-2 weeks.

-
A manufactured truss is a structural framing component engineered by computer, cut to precise lengths in a factory, and assembled using metal connector plates pressed under hydraulic pressure. Pre-engineered trusses are designed for your specific project by a licensed structural engineer and are ready to install when they arrive on your job site.
-
For simple or small jobs, architectural plans are adequate. We sometimes can even start a job with a simple sketch.
However, for larger projects we will require both architectural and structural drawings.
-
Yes. Every truss package we deliver includes stamped engineering drawings . These drawings document the design loads, member sizes, connector plate placements, and installation requirements. They are required for most building permits in Colorado and protect you and your client throughout the project.
-
Yes. We deliver throughout Colorado including mountain markets in Summit County, Park County, and the Vail Valley. We have experience coordinating deliveries to job sites with restricted access and tight delivery windows. Reach out to discuss logistics for your specific site.
